AHLTH-5400: Emergency Preparedness and Emergency Management

Health professionals play a vital role in identifying, responding to, containing, and recovering from emergencies. It is imperative that students of health and emergency preparedness develop an awareness of the emerging threats, the means of addressing those threats, security challenges inherent in these activities, and be able to identify other sectors with similar responsibilities. This course focuses on the essentials of emergency preparedness and emergency management explored through the lens of health emergency planning to provide students with exposure to health emergency management concepts.
