EDUC-5730: Classroom EcologiesTeacher candidates explore a range of approaches to developing classroom communities, routines, relationships and structures that support social justice and equity in K-12 classrooms. Teacher candidates critically consider traditional approaches to “classroom management” and their consequences for schools, students, families, and communities. In response to these critiques, candidates draw on their ongoing work in public schools to imagine alternative approaches and develop detailed community- and relationship-building plans for their future classrooms.
