ED-6230: Instruction & Assessment for English Language LearnersParticipants will gain knowledge of practical instructional and assessment strategies that can be used to teach English language learners (ELLs) in K-12 settings. They will learn how to differentiate instruction and assessment to accommodate ELLs’ English language proficiency while giving them access to standards-based and age/grade appropriate curriculum. Participants will analyze and interpret assessment data for the purposes of developing unit and lesson plans for ELLs. Particular focus will be given to alternative and performance-based assessment and communicating results to learners and their care-givers. Min.
