COUN-7105: Scholarly Writing and Research Development in Counselor EducationThis course is designed to familiarize students with scholarly writing practices in counselor education, supporting both doctoral coursework and the professional expectations for publication in the field. Students will analyze the structure, style, and content of peer-reviewed journal articles and grant proposals, while exploring the major research modalities commonly used in counseling research. The course includes the development of research questions and hypotheses, exposure to publication and grant standards, and best practices in academic writing. Through faculty and peer feedback, students will explore culturally competent research strategies and build a collaborative writing community grounded in ethical and inclusive practices. Min.
