COUN-7235: Qualitative Inquiry and Research EthicsThis course invites students to examine qualitative research designs and emergent methodologies relevant to counselor education. Emphasis is placed on exploring culturally relevant and ethical strategies for conducting research, including considerations of voice, positionality, and participant well-being. Students will engage in the development of research proposals appropriate for Institutional Review Board (IRB) review and prepare a professional conference proposal grounded in empirical or conceptual qualitative inquiry. The course supports the development of emerging counselor educator-scholars through a focus on responsible, inclusive, and ethical research practices. Min.
