EDL-6280: Community PartnershipsBuilding strong community relationships and partnerships is an increasingly important role for school leaders. It is no longer a given that the public will support public schools without specific outreach efforts; newsletters and the PTA are no longer enough. From family partnership programs for the families of students, to business outreach and partnership, to civic engagement projects, this course will examine multiple models for building strong reciprocal relationships between schools and their communities. The course will also address the building of the essential relationship between the school leader and district and school board personnel. In addition to your time in class, there will be a required online component for this course. Min.
