EDUC-6464: Theories of Change and Pathways for Action

This course takes an action-oriented approach to change. We begin by exploring theories of change, then consider various frameworks for change and delve into specific institutions and settings in which change might take place. We consider the complexities that these explorations pose as we seek to challenge impersonal representations of learning and “achievement.” Students will choose the current reform initiatives that they wish to examine. We will explore the intersections of personal and structural change and growth and will close with a Theory of Change Action Project.
