Students explore the relationship between food, culture, politics and health in the US. Considers the history of food in the US; how food policies affect overall health and particular health issues such as heart disease, ADHD, diabetes, and obesity (noting class and cultural differences); and the impact of the current whole foods and organic movement on health and well-being.
