EDU-5020: Physiological, Psychological, and Developmental Effects of Childhood TraumaDesigned for the classroom based or connected practitioner this course focuses on understanding the ways that experiencing trauma during childhood alters the typical developmental progress of childhood. The practitioner will learn how trauma affects brain development, how childhood trauma affects a person physiologically, and how behaviors often attributed to psychological disorders are directly correlated to the person’s experience of trauma during the developmental milestone years of childhood. Theories of neuroplasticity and sequential development and their application to childhood trauma will be explored. Min.
