EDU-5012: Introduction to Becoming a Trauma Informed Educator - BThis is the second of a two part introductory course, designed for the classroom based or connected practitioner and focuses on recognizing the behaviors associated with childhood trauma. It seeks to teach the practitioner to prepare an environment that is sensitive to traumatized persons and to respond to young people that experience the psychological, physiological and social-emotional deficits associated with experiencing trauma during childhood. In this course students will gain additional understanding of the services available for children and families experiencing trauma. Min.
