Program Overview
The MEd in Transdisciplinary Studies in Healing Education enrolls a cohort every other spring. The program starts in the spring and is designed to be completed in 2 spring and 2 summer semesters. The Master’s Project is started in the semester following completion of all other program requirements listed below, with an average time to completion of 3 semesters.
This advanced level Waldorf MEd program with a transdisciplinary focus on healing education is offered by the Waldorf Program of Antioch University New England in collaboration with the Camphill School of Curative Education and Social Therapy. It is open to applicants with 5-7 years of professional experience with a practice-based on anthroposophical foundations OR who will have completed stage 2 of a program of the Camphill School of Curative Education and Social Therapy.

Plan of Study
To earn the M.Ed. in Transdisciplinary Studies in Healing Education, students must successfully complete a total of 32 credits as outlined below. Theoretical & Philosophical Foundations of Education - 9 Semester Credits
Curriculum and Instruction - 7 Semester Credits
Education and Social Policy - 8 Semester Credits
Plus required Waldorf Workshops - 0 semester credits
Teaching Internship or Practicum and Professional Seminar - 4 semester credits
Complete one of the following options for 4 semester credits: Public Waldorf School Specialization
If pursuing the Public Waldorf School specialization choose one of the following: ED-6975: Public Waldorf Internship (take 3 semester credits): Twelve weeks of supervised teaching in an approved Waldorf public or charter elementary school in the classroom of an approved Waldorf teacher. OR ED-6935: Public Waldorf Practicum (take 3 semester credits): Twelve weeks of supervised teaching in an approved Waldorf public or charter elementary school. AND ED-6970: Professional Practice Seminar (take 1 semester credit) Master’s Project OR Professional Practice Capstone - 4 semester credits
Complete one of the following pathway options for 4 semester credits: Master’s Project Pathway
If pursuing Master’s Project pathway take the following: ED-6990 Master’s Project ED-6999 Master’s Project Continuation (enroll in subsequent semesters until Master’s Project is completed) Professional Practice Capstone Pathway
If pursuing the Professional Practice Capstone pathway take the following: ED-6981 Waldorf Professional Practice Capstone ED-6982 Waldorf Professional Practice Capstone Continuation (enroll in subsequent semesters until Capstone Project is completed) |
