Climate change education is essential for addressing perhaps the biggest environmental and social challenge in human history. We understand that to overcome this challenge we need to not only inform, but exponentially increase the number of advocates who are also raising awareness and bringing solutions to bear in their local communities and beyond. Through empirical scientific data, including an understanding of the biophysical reality of the issue as well as the social-psychological factors that drive climate engagement, you will become an educator for one of the most pressing threats to a sustainable and healthy future. Students enrolled in this certificate gain skills, knowledge and experiences to meaningfully engage others on the biophysical, social and emotional challenges presented by climate change in ways that meet students and diverse audiences where they are.
