EDU-5030: Connecting the Community with those Affected by Childhood TraumaDesigned for the classroom-based or connected practitioner this course focuses on the connections among families, educators and the community needed to foster the healing of a person that has experienced childhood trauma. The course includes information on how to communicate in a non-assuming way with family members to promote collaboration on behalf of the student. Additionally, the course will focus on how to promote student advocacy and support while following school policies, legislation, and working with other organizations such as the juvenile justice system.
